Northlands
Northlands has been rocking this city since 1879. And we’re just beginning. We now have 2500 events that attract over 3.5 million visitors to Edmonton every year. From Canadian Finals Rodeo, Farmfair International, and Capital EX to headliner concerts, international events, the best in horse racing and all the trade shows you can imagine.
Playing a big part at Northlands, meanwhile, are our people. It takes our 300 full-time and over 1800 part-time and event staff, and more than 900 volunteers, to put on smiles on the faces of everyone who comes to our grounds.
The money raised by all of these events goes back to building a better community. That’s why every year we help Edmonton’s major service clubs raise more than $500,000 annually with our lottery program. We also support professional rodeo athletes, help Alberta students with post-secondary scholarships, and put smiles on the faces or children with special needs.
